3) How can self-advocates become involved with Milieu's services?
All individuals who participate in Milieu's services are referred through Community Living BC. Visit communitylivingbc.ca for more information.

4) How are Milieu's services funded?
Milieu's services are funded primarily through Community Living BC (CLBC).
CLBC is a provincial crown agency mandated under the Community Living Authority Act, delivers supports and services to adults with developmental disabilities and their families in British Columbia. CLBC is working to create communities where people with developmental disabilities have more choices about how they live, work and contribute.

5) What is CARF Accreditation?
Milieu-SVYC-Connexus is a CARF accredited agency.

CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) is an international certifier of quality social service. Their accreditation assures an organization offers services of top quality and value, focusing on the needs of persons served and their communities.

As a result of this process, Milieu-SVYC-Connexus receives a survey report that identifies and outlines the agency’s numerous strengths in addition to recommendations for further enhancement, including levels of person-centeredness and the quality of life of individuals’ served and their families.
